Another week has began, and that means new brews are coming out. This week’s breweries include Shannon Brewing Company, Martin House Brewing Company, Panther Island Brewing Company, Rahr and Sons Brewing Company, and Turning Point Beer Company. Here is the list of what is new this week:
Shannon Brewing Company-Chocolate Covered Strawberries: Nothing says romance on Valentine’s Day than some chocolate covered strawberries, so what better combination than those enticing dessert items and beer? This imperial milk stout is a whopping 9.1% ABV and was fermented with real strawberries, giving you a smooth chocolate flavor accompanied by a delightful blend of strawberries and caramel that drinks as smooth as the romance you try to conjure up, well probably better than that. The taproom release is set for this Friday, January, 31st while distribution in the form of six packs will take place the beginning of next week.
Martin House Brewing Company-The Big Tourist: A New England Style IPA that contains lactose and plenty of Citra, Calypso, Azacca, and Motueka hops, providing you with plenty of citrus and tropical hop flavors, and yet a low bitterness profile that leaves you with a juicy mouthful that finishes off smooth. This IPA is set to be released Monday, January, 27th at 4 pm in the Martin House taproom, both on tap and 4 packs to go.
Panther Island Brewing Company-Family Obligation: A collaboration with an upcoming brewery from the Weatherford area, Edgewise Eight Brewing. A strong Wheat Wine that stands tall at 12.3% and is thick and hearty, keeping you plenty warm during the Texas winter cold fronts. Providing you with plenty of wheat flavors with hints of grape and citrus, and a little alcohol warmth on the way down with a smooth mouthfeel that finishes off surprisingly crisp. Set to be released this Friday, January 31st in the taproom at 12 pm.
Rahr and Sons Brewing Company-Dadgum Coffee IPA: Another collaboration beer, except this time it is with a coffee roaster, Avoca Coffee, rather than another brewery. A unique concoction from the guys at Rahr and Sons with an ABV of 5.9% and that features plenty of coffee flavors with hints of citrus that is moderately bitter and sure to keep your butt into gear. The release is set for this Thursday, January 30th in the taproom at 5 pm.
Turning Point Beer Company-What We Do In The Shadows: Don’t let the name input fear within you as the beer is sure to bring about comfort rather than harm. A honey brown ale with an ABV of 6% and that is brewed with locally sourced honey that provides plenty of toasted biscuit flavors with hints of chocolate and sweet honey. This brown ale is set to be released in the taproom at sunset (5:58 pm) Wednesday, January 29th.
