Nothing’s better than some savory chili and good brews, and that is exactly what Hop Fusion Ale Works provided everyone. Teaming up with Team Fed-Up for the event where not only did they provide good chili and brews, but the event help raise money to help the team ride in the Bike MS race where proceeds go to benefit the National Multiple Sclerosis Society. The weather was pretty well perfect for the event with clear skies and a slight breeze.
This chili cook-off was my first ever, and what better place to spend eating chili than an awesome local brewery? Five contestants participated, including Big Kat Burgers, Pouring Glory, Best Little Brewfest In Texas, Panther City BBQ, and Chef Ross. All of the chili was absolutely bomb with plenty of spice, meat, and one with BBQ in it, but only one could be the champion at the end of the day and that all boiled down to the votes of the people, and that was Chef Ross.
During my visit there, not only did I get filled up on plenty of chili, but I also had a few of Hop Fusion Ale Works brews, including their Project Series IPA, Steampipe Black Rye IPA, and Fur Slipper Imperial Milk Stout. Had an absolute blast and excited to visit another chili cook-off event, hopefully at another brewery. Cheers!
