Jolly Pumpkin Artisan Ales brewed up a fine masterpiece with plenty of flavor to get you kicked into full on fall mode. Each sip provides you with plenty of pumpkin flavor that is well balanced with spices, such as cinnamon, nutmeg, and pumpkin spice. Comes in growlers and crowlers at any of there multiple locations.
A traditional style pumpkin ale with a little spice added to it-that is rum. Two Roads Brewing Company went the extra distance with brewing this beer with a few added months of aging away in rum oak barrels to enhance the overall flavor profile. Flavorful brew with a plentiful harvest of pumpkins thats subtly added with cinnamon, nutmeg and ginger with a touch of vanilla and rum. Available in six packs of cans and on draft at the brewery.
Hailing from the deep end of Texas and brewing one of the darkest pumpkins out on the market, Saint Arnold Brewing Company doesn’t shy away from the brewing edge. A robust, toasted flavor with loads of pumpkins and spices with hints of dark chocolate and coffee. Released every year on October 15th in 22 oz cans. Get ready to get pumped up.
Brewed up and aged on the other side of the country is Allagash Brewing Company’s Ghoulschip Pumpkin Ale. This light bodied ale is brewed up with local pumpkins, raw pumpkin seeds, molasses and whole leaf hops. And then it is aged in oak barrels for three years! Yes, three years. A slightly sweetened sour beer that provides you with some toasted characters and a hint of citrus that finishes off dry and tart. Available in 375 ml bottles and on draft at the brewery only.
Avery Brewing Company has decided to extend the bounds of brewing pumpkin beer with a high alcohol volume ale that is sure to kick you into gear for pumpkin season. A beautifully crafted blend of flavors that include pumpkin spice, toasted caramel, cinnamon, vanilla, and hints of rum with a nice alcoholic warmth to keep you cozy during those chilly fall nights. Available from August till October in 12 oz bottles.
Scaling down on the robust flavors and high alcohol volume, this fall classic brewed up by the guys at Schlafly Brewing Company features a much sweeter side of the pumpkin trend with flavors that reminiscent that of ol’ grandmother’s fresh baked pumpkin pie. Back to the darker side of things, Elysian Brewing Company decided to utilize the chilly fall weather and love for pumpkins to blend up their own rendition of a pumpkin spiced cappuccino with malts and hops-and of course, alcohol. Providing your pumpkin spice obsessed palates with robust flavors of coffee and dark chocolate that is balanced by the traditional pumpkin spices and a creamy mouthfeel. An ingenious creation from the guys at Harpoon Brewery in conjuction with Dunkin’ Donuts that features coffee and dark chocolate characters, and notes of cinnamon, pumpkin, molasses and vanilla that finishes off as smooth as the surface of the pumpkin used in this brew. For those that really want to delve into the lighter side of beer while still maintaining somewhat of a fall feel to it, then an amber ale with pumpkin is the way to go. And that is exactly what the brewers at O’ Fallon Brewery provide you with. A light bodied ale with plenty of sweetness swirling about that features flavors of vanilla, cinnamon, nutmeg, and pumpkin that is well-balanced by the use of light toasted malts.
